Belaruskali poised to produce 8.8 m tonnes of potash fertilizer in 2011
MINSK, PRIME-TASS. OAO Belaruskali is set to boost fertilizer output by 2.3% on the year in 2011 to the point of 8.8 million tonnes, a representative in the administration of the company told Prime-Tass.
Owing to the favourable situation on foreign markets, Belaruskali has managed to double fertilizer output in comparison with 2009, when they produced 4.3 billion tonnes of potash.
The state-owned Belarusian company OAO Belaruskali is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of potash fertilizers, employing about 20,000 personnel. It operates the Starobinskoye potash salts deposit and comprises four mine groups, auxiliary shops and support units.
Belaruskali controls 16% of the world’s potash fertilizer market.
