Science and Education
The technical-scientific activity is carried out taking into account the nation priorities and tasks. These are resource-saving and energy-efficient productions of competitive products, new materials and new power sources, medicine and pharmacy, information and telecommunication technologies, the techniques of production, processing and storage of agricultural products, industrial biotechnologies, ecology and environmental management. These measures are conducted by implementation of the state complex objective technical-scientific programmes.
The republic of Belarus entered 21 century with developed education system. Our country is at the level of the European countries and America in terms of adult and young population literacy, indicators of children entry the nursery and high schools, a number of students studying at the higher educational establishments. Each third resident of the Republic is studying.
