Labour relations at commercial organizations are regulated by collective bargaining (agreement) and labour agreements (contracts). Moreover, the contracts concluded cannot worsen workers’ state in terms of working conditions stipulated in the current legislation of the Republic of Belarus.
Foreign citizens and stateless persons temporary residing in Belarus are entitled to perform labour activities only in the case a special permission is available to them. Such permission can be issued by the Migration Department of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of the Republic of Belarus for a term of 6 months (for migrant workers – to 1 year) taking into consideration a permit term of temporary stay in the country. The permit term can be extended.
Foreign workers’ wages can be transferred abroad. Social insurance and social security service (except for pension coverage of foreign citizens) is regulated by the legislative enactments of the Republic of Belarus.
Employment of the citizens of the Republic of Belarus at organizations’ representative offices is carried out on the basis of labour agreements (contracts) in compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.
