Public transport in the capital of Belarus includes buses, trolleybuses, trams, metro and route taxis.
Ground transport
Municipal ground transport starts its operation at 5:35 and finishes at around 1:00. Passage tickets are sold at newsstands and inside a transport means by conductors or drivers. Passage tickets are unified and valid for all types of transport except metro. Having entered a transport means you are supposed to clip you ticket. The cost of a ticket is 600 Belarusian roubles.

Metro
The Minsk metro is deemed main public municipal transport. The capital subway conveys over a million of passengers annually. Currently, it is one of the most convenient ways to move along the city. The subway works from 5:30 to 1:00. You can acquire plastic jettons allowing you a single trip at every subway station. The cost of one jetton is 600 Belarusian roubles.
