Dynamics of trade in goods between Belarus and Angola (million US dollars)

The most promising export positions of Belarus to the Angolan markets are, first of all, agricultural and quarry equipment, as well as spare parts for them.

The presence of rich diamond mines determines the need to use the equipment of the mining sector.

Due to the critical drought in the south-western territories of Angola, the country is facing the issue of creating an irrigation infrastructure.

Low yields, which are a consequence of dry seasons, are the cause of the plight of a number of local households. Supplies of grain crops, malt, fertilizers, and food products also appear to be potential export positions.

The introduction of high-tech technologies, the creation of the necessary logistics infrastructure, the promotion of renewable energy sources can become reference points on the way of diversification of Belarusian exports to Angola.

Taking into account the high demand for medicines, niches for the promotion of pharmaceutical products remain in the country.

Company registration rules

The legal regime of commercial activity in Angola is regulated by the Law on Private Investment (port: Lei do Investimento Privado), a number of other legislative and by-laws.

To establish their company on the territory of Angola, the founders need to determine the type of legal entity, reserve the name of the company, pay the appropriate registration fees, issue statutory documents, obtain a taxpayer identification number and a certificate of admission (port: Certificado de Admissibilidade), obtain a commercial certificate and a license to conduct commercial activities.

In order to simplify administrative procedures in Angola, a single window system (port: Guiche Unicode Empresa) was created in terms of the establishment and administration of companies' activities.
