Founded in 1964 as Minsk Radio Engineering college, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) has gained high reputation by 2020, which is confirmed by several acknowledgments, e.g.: - basic organization of CIS for higher education in informatics and radioelectronics (2005), - Prize of the Belarus Government for Achievements in Quality (2012, 2017), - ‘Best Exporter’ of Belarus in ‘Education’ (2017) and ‘Research’ (2018), - multiple winner of the national contest in the nominations ‘Education’ and ‘Research’ (2013-2019). BSUIR has 16,000 students with 600 foreign students from 43 countries. There are over 2,000 employees, two academicians and two corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, IEEE members, over 400 Doctors of Science and PhDs and ca. 100 Masters of Science in Engineering. The university offers study and research opportunities in ICT, medical, micro- and nanoelectronics, data protection, e-marketing, game design, AI, big data, etc. We provide training in 100+ vocational, undergraduate, Master, PhD, postdoc, professional skills upgrading and retraining programs in Russian; 10+ undergraduate & M.Sc programs in English. There are 9 faculties, 32 academic departments, an R&D Unit, Institute of Information Technologies and Minsk Radioengineering College at the University. BSUIR has established a number of joint degree programs and schools with foreign partners: 1) Two branches of the Department of Information and Computer Systems Design of BSUIR opened on the Computer Systems Institute campuses in Boston and Chicago (USA) to provide blended programs that combine full-time and e-learning in English; 2) Joint School in IT between BSUIR and Tashkent University of Information Technologies (Uzbekistan); 3) Joint Master’s and PhD School between BSUIR and Hangzhou Dianzi University (China); 4) Joint Master Program between BSUIR and Eurasian National University (Kazakhstan). BSUIR has strong ties with 250+ local and foreign companies and HEIs, e.g. Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Jilin Agricultural University (China), Moscow State University (Russia), Aix-Marseille University (France), etc. Practice-oriented training is based on 51 joint labs & certified centres with IBM, Cisco, ZTE, Huawei, EPAM Systems, National Instruments; 6 branches of academic departments at the Belarusian companies.
