The Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry is one of the leading institutions of NASB, internationally known as scientific center for basic research of structure and function of biomolecules. Main directions of scientific, scientific-technical and innovative activity of the Institute: - Basic and applied research in the chemistry, structure and function of biopolymers and low molecular weight bioregulators, including proteins, nucleic acids and their components, phospholipids, steroids, prostaglandins, brassinosteroids, ecdysteroids; - Development and pilot production of immunochemical and molecular biological kits of reagents for medical and veterinary diagnostics; - Development and production of pharmaceutical substances, hormonal preparations and biospecific hemosorbents; - Development of technologies of production and application of growth stimulators and plant protection products; - Experimental and clinical pharmacology, pharmacy and drug technology, toxicology, human and animal biochemistry, biomedical and pharmaceutical chemistry; - preclinical, bioequivalent and pharmaceutical testing. - Pilot production of developed products (hemosorbents, recombinant enzyme preparations, immunochemical reagents, oxyphytosterols, etc.) is performed at the experimental production sites of the Institute. Research-Production Center "ChemPharmSynthesis" was created at the Institute - unique enterprise that is engaged in development and production of drugs for treatment of oncological diseases. RPC " ChemPharmSynthesis " was built in 2011 in accordance with the rules of "Good Manufacturing Practice" (GMP), safety rules and regulations, and health and safety requirements for the production of medicines. Production includes three departments for the production of pharmaceutical substances, solid and liquid drugs. The quality control department carries out its professional activities at all stages of production, from the stage of receipt of raw materials and packaging materials in the warehouse to the stage of the finished product on the market. The Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry successfully develops international relations in the main areas of its research. Currently, the Institute conducts joint research with scientific institutes of the CIS countries, Germany, USA, Canada, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Holland, Vietnam and other countries.
