Coat of arms: consists of three pale blue lions passant wearing crowns, accompanied by nine red lilypads (normally represented as heraldic hearts), all in a golden shield.
Flag: is red with a white Scandinavian cross that extends to the edges of the flag; the vertical part of the cross is shifted to the hoist side. The legal proportions of the National flag is today 3:1:3 in width and anywhere between 3:1:4.5 and 3:1:5.25 in length.
 
  • Anthem: «Der er et yndigt land» is one of the national anthems of Denmark. Denmark is one of only two countries in the world — the other being New Zealand — with two official national anthems. Officially, «Kong Christian stod ved højen mast» is both a national and a royal anthem; it has equal status with «Der er et yndigt land», which is treated as the civil national anthem.

  • Geographical location: it is a Nordic country and the southernmost of the Scandinavian nations. The sovereign state is south-west of Sweden and south of Norway, and bordered to the south by Germany. The Kingdom of Denmark also comprises two autonomous constituent countries in the North Atlantic Ocean: the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Denmark proper consists of a peninsula, Jutland, and an archipelago of 443 named islands, with the largest being Zealand, Funen and the North Jutlandic Island. 
  • Administrative divisions: Denmark is divided into five administrative regions. The regions are further subdivided into 98 municipalities.

  • Governance: politics in Denmark operate under a framework laid out in the Constitution of Denmark. First written in 1849, it establishes a sovereign state in the form of a constitutional monarchy, with a representative parliamentary system. The monarch officially retains executive power and presides over the Council of State (privy council). The Danish Parliament is unicameral and called the Folketing. It is the legislature of the Kingdom of Denmark, passing acts that apply in Denmark and, variably, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

Trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Denmark

Denmark is a country with a highly developed economy and service sector. The basis of Denmark's economic potential is the highly efficient industry, agriculture and services.

A distinctive feature of the structure of Danish industry is a significant number of small and medium enterprises participating in the system of international cooperation. Of the total number of industrial enterprises, only 3% have more than 100 workers, but they account for 70% of industrial production, 80% of merchandise exports and 60% of all employed in the country.

In 2018, trade between Belarus and Denmark amounted to $153.2 million (143.7% compared to 2017), exports — $27.8 million (growth rate — 210.7%), imports — $125.4 million (growth rate — 141.28%.). The balance is negative — minus $97.6 million.

In 2018, the mutual turnover of services amounted to $67.51 million. Export of Belarusian services — $25.63 million (162.4% compared to 2017), import — $41.88 million (118.3%). The balance was negative — minus $16.25 million (82.8% compared to 2017). 

The highest growth rates were achieved in the export of computer services — $11.1 million (an increase of 145%), transport services — $7.6 million (116%) and construction services — $5.6 million (20 times more).

The main imports of services were: transport — $37.1 million (an increase of 118.3%), use of intellectual property — $1.9 million (166.2%), other business — $2.3 million (166.4%).

In January — December 2018, the volume of Danish investments on a net basis (excluding debt to the direct investor for goods and services) amounted to $10.8 million (308.6% compared to 2017). As of October 1, 2019, Danish investments accumulated totaling $35.9 million (93.7% compared to 2017).

In Belarus, 26 organizations with Danish capital are registered. The largest among them are Beldan LLC (3 production complexes in the Brest, Grodno and Vitebsk regions in the elite pig breeding and bacon pork production sectors) and Sailing Plast Production Orsha LLC (production of plastic shrink sleeves).
