Trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Lebanon
Trade turnover between Belarus and Lebanon peaked at $104.25 million in 2009. In that year Belarusian exports amounted to $103.40 million primarily due to supply of metal products.
In the following years, Belarusian exports decreased, because of the fragile situation in Lebanon, caused by different attitudes of the main political forces to the armed conflict in neighboring Syria.

In January — September 2016, trade turnover between Belarus and Lebanon amounted to $13.3 million, Belarusian exports increased by 135.5% to $191.2 thousand as compared to January — September, 2015. Belarus exported products of 22 commodity headings in small quantities, including plywood ($48.7 thousand), builders' joinery and carpentry of wood ($39.4 thousand), toys and puzzles ($29.1 thousand), prefabricated buildings ($21.0 thousand) and other goods.
In recent years, Belarusian exports decreased, because Belarusian metal products were less competitive than cheaper Chinese ones. In 2013, these products were supplied to the amount of $19.4 million, in 2014 — to the amount of $1.6 million. In 2015 — 2016 they were not supplied.
There are 98 companies with Lebanese capital in Belarus.
