BMZ launches new kind of metal cord for large-size all-steel tyres

MINSK – The Zhlobin-based Belarusian Metallurgical Plant (BMZ) says it has launched a new kind of metal cord for large-size all-steel tyres

For production of large-size heavy-duty all-steel tyres BMZ used a special kind of metal cord, which the number of threads varying from 49 to 190.

BMZ metal cord for large-size all-steel tyres is used by the local tyre manufacturer Belshina and is exported to the Czech Republic.

All in all, BMZ shipped to customers 230 tonnes of metal cord for large-size all-steel tyres.

BMZ-made metal cord was exported to 17 countries in Jan-Oct 2018, including Russia, Germany, Romania, Slovenia and the Czech Republic.

State-owned company Belarusian Metallurgical Plant was launched in 1984. BMZ exports about 85% of its output.
