MINSK - The Italian Association of private construction contractors (ANCE) would be interested in contributing to the M-10 motorway upgrade project in Belarus, ANCE Vice President Domenico De Bartolomeo said during a meeting with representatives of Belarus’ National Agency for Investment and Privatization (NAIP).
The M10 motorway runs from Kobrin through Gomel to the Russian border. The cost of the motorway upgrade is estimated at $200 million, with the EBRD providing consultancy services for Belarus’ government. The motorway is an international transport corridor connecting the European Union and Russia. The motorway bypasses Minsk with its heavy traffic and thus cuts the travel distance between the EU and China.
