Slootsk Weight Handling Equipment Plant to build travelling crane facility by late 2018

MINSK - OAO Slootsk Weight Handling Equipment Plant (Minsk Region) plans to complete the construction of a facility to produce bridge-type travelling cranes with a maximum capacity of 240 tonnes, a company official told PrimePress.

According to the data from the Industry Ministry’s web site, the pre-estimated cost of the project stands at $13 million. The full cost of the project will be determined after the launch of the facility.

The active stage of construction started in the spring of 2018. The Slootsk-based company currently manufactures bridge-type travelling cranes with a maximum capacity of 120 tonnes. The company is affiliated to BelAZ Group.
