Anti-lock Brake Systems (ABS)

It is designed to prevent locking and maintain wheel spin at a level that ensures optimal traction with the road surface in all road conditions. System ABS has two main versions: ABS-T, used at tractive vehicles, and ABS-P, used at a pull-type part. Systems ABS-T and ABS-P can be used both independently and jointly. ABS system provides management when coefficient of adhesion with the surface of the road is from 0.1 to 0.8 in the whole range of speeds from 10 to 120 km/h. The system provides priority to the driver for brake releasing of wheels. Operating environment for the execution units is air. Warranty lifetime is not less than 2 years or 150 thousand km of run. System operating life is at least 10 years or 800 thousand kilometers of run. The structure of ABS includes following elements: - wheel rotation velocity sensors; - modulators for motor vehicles and pull-type part; - control units; - modulator cables, - sensor cables; - power cables for trailers and semitrailers.
