Colistat (Сolistin). Powder for solution for intravenous injection and inhalations 2 000 000 ME. Reliable choice in treatment of acquired microbial resistance. Especially active against gram-negative (-) bacteria. Most active against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter baumannii, Citrobacter spp. Used parenterally in treatment of serious infections of lower respiratory tract and urinary system when widely used systemic antibiotics are ineffective because of development of bacterial resistance. Inhalational administration is recommended for patients with mucoviscidosis.
