Coat of arms: depicts the Garuda that is a birdlike mythological beast of the Hindu and Buddhist tradition. According to mythology, the Garuda is a large hybrid half-man and half-bird creature. The Garuda is often depicted in art as having the head, beak, wings and talons of an eagle, while his torso is like that of a human man. 

Flag: shows five horizontal stripes in the colours red, white, blue, white and red, with the central blue stripe being twice as wide as each of the other four.

The colours are said to stand for nation-religion-king, an unofficial motto of Thailand, red for the land and people, white for religions and blue for the monarchy.

Trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Thailand

Thailand, along with Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia, is one of the most important trade partners of Belarus in Southeast Asia.

Belarus's most valuable products, imported by Thailand:

  • Potassic fertilizers;
  • Mineral fertilizers;
  • X-ray equipment.

In January — April 2018, there was an increase in deliveries of liquid crystal devices and apparatus for measuring and checking electrical quantities.

In January — April 2018, trade turnover between Belarus and Thailand increased by 14.5% to $41 million as compared to January — April, 2017. Belarusian exports to this country increased by 22.7% to $30.3 million as compared to January — April, 2017, Thai exports to Belarus decreased by 3.4% to $10.7 million. Trade surplus amounted to $19.6 million.

In January — April 2018, Belarus exported goods of 22 commodity headings to Thailand against goods of 18 commodity headings within the same period of 2017.
